Fashion - Long Lens

This assignment required we shoot with a 400mm or greater focal length lens. These were shot with a Canon 1Ds Mark III and 500mm lens. I had a little trouble with this one because it was on location and just as we were ready to shoot...it rained. We went ahead with it anyway and the pictures actually turned out better then expected.

Fashion - Futuristic

For this assignment we were given free reign over our assignment. The only guideline was it had to be futuristic. How we interpreted that was up to us.

Concept - I wanted to come up with a way to show how high fashion is held in such high regard. What I tried to do here was glorify high fashion and make it look like even if the world were to end and everything were to go to hell, fashion would still be there looking pretty and unfazed.

Time Involved: ~30 hours (scouting, prepping, shooting, retouching, compositing, etc.)

Model - Kathryn LaGioia
Assistant - Ira Morris
Stylist - Casey Lo
Makeup - Shoranda Iyez

Fashion - Genre

For this assignment we were told to choose a genre and shoot something similar.
I chose body builders/fitness.

Fashion - Period Assignment

For my fashion class we were given an assignment to shoot something from a different time period or era. This is what I came up with. My inspiration was this photo by Edward Steichen on the right.

Rick Davies

A while ago I had the privilege of photographing Rick Davies, of Supertramp, in his own home. It was a pleasure taking his picture. I've only just had the chance to edit and upload a couple of the pictures from the shoot now. While shooting Rick's wife, Sue, told me I had to get one of Rick smiling because they have hardly any photos of him with a genuine smile. I did my best and think I was able to capture one.

I hope you all enjoy them,

Christmas Cookies

Christmas cookies have always been a tradition in my family. Every year my mom, along with my sister in the most recent years, spend days baking all kinds of wonderful cookies for Christmas. The cookies eventually all get placed on assorted trays for family and friends as gifts. This year I decided to photograph some of the cookies they baked. By no means is this even a glimpse of the sheer amount or variety of cookies there were in my house after three days of baking. I hope you all enjoy the pictures. They look almost as good as they taste.
